GORILLA
A considered industrial design study exploring compact form, tactile utility, and a deliberately expressive silhouette.
01 / OVERVIEW
Named after its characteristic gorilla-like posture, Gorilla explores a more dynamic and sculptural approach to coffee machine design. Instead of following the familiar visual language of traditional coffee machines, the concept uses fast, flowing lines and an athletic stance inspired by the presence and proportions of a racing car.
The machine visually leans over the cup, creating a distinctive relationship between the product and the moment of preparing coffee. At the same time, all essential access points, including the water tank and coffee reservoir, are integrated into its “back”, keeping the front visually clean and focused on the interaction with the cup.
The result is a coffee machine that deliberately feels more like a sculptural object than a conventional appliance, combining functionality with a strong sense of movement and character.

Built Like a Gorilla.
The final Gorilla Coffee Machine is defined by its distinctive silhouette, compact proportions and strong visual presence. Its form integrates the technical components into a coherent body while keeping the interaction areas clear and accessible.

06 / FINAL CONCEPT
Creating Presence
Gorilla is a coffee machine concept developed through an iterative process of sketching, 3D modelling and visualization. The project explores how technical functionality can be combined with a distinctive and expressive product identity, resulting in a compact coffee machine with a strong visual character.
Let’s make something purposeful.
